Flossing is an important part of any dental hygiene routine but one that is often overlooked. Using a water flosser is a super smart way to take care of your teeth and gums and we love feeling like we have a professional clean every day thanks to these smart devices.

So why choose the Waterpik WP-660E2 Ultra Professional Water Flosser specifically?

The best bits

With the Waterpik WP-660E2 Ultra Professional Water Flosser, you have loads of options. There are seven different tips – a jet tips in three different sizes, for normal use; a plaque sucker tip for super cleaning; an orthodontic tip for braces (we loved this for cleaning train track braces in particular!); a Pik Pocket tip for deeper cleaning, and a toothbrush tip, so that you can water floss at the same time as cleaning your teeth.

You can choose whichever settings you prefer (there are lots!) and work up to a more powerful setting once you’re used to the pressure. How long do you use it for? Well, that’s easy. There’s either a one minute or a thirty-second timer, so you don’t need to keep track of time – just turn it on and enjoy the clean feeling. A full tank of water will last you 2-3 minutes, so a few uses depending on which timer you’re using. This is great because you won’t be able to get enough of the cleaning feeling – it’s a lovely massage for your gums!

One of the benefits of using water is that you can feel the pressure, and using warm water makes it less harsh on your teeth and gums, too. It’s also pretty quiet whilst you’re using it, which is something we really like. We finished off by using Oral-B 3D White Luxe Glamorous Shine Mouthwash (https://www.bestelectrictoothbrush.org.uk/oral-b-3d-white-luxe-glamorous-shine-mouthwash-review/), which was the perfect finish.

Any downsides?

It’s a large unit, so if you’ve got a small bathroom, it’s easy to see why you might dismiss it. As an “extra” dental hygiene product, it’s not that cheap.

To sum up

We’d encourage you not to dismiss it on size – it’s smaller and quieter than other water flossers we’ve tried, and your mouth will feel the cleanest it’s ever felt. Your dentist will notice the difference – brownie points for you! Plus, while it is expensive, in the long run, it’ll beat buying reams of dental floss, hands down.
